Foam brick is a kind of brick with many independent small pores formed by mixing cement, fly ash, sand, etc. with these raw materials, adding some foaming agent, mixing again, injecting mold to rest, cutting, and finally curing, so it is called foam brick. Because it is made by mixing and setting small foam particles and cement, it has the high quality performance of light weight, heat preservation, sound insulation and fire prevention, and because of the use of small diameter, it greatly reduces the cost, so it is an ideal product for non load bearing walls.
Its scientific name is foam concrete block. Its main raw materials are ordinary cement, sand (fly ash, lime), water, and various additives. Foam brick is mainly made of cement, slag powder and river sand as raw materials for production. After mixing, it is foamed by cement, forced to mix air into the mixing slurry to form. The concrete with micro bubble structure is cast and molded, and it is made by curing reaction and other processes. It is a new wall material with environmental protection, energy conservation and stable material quality. The buildings using foam bricks as wall materials have been tested to be of good quality after two years of construction and use, and meet the national requirements for project quality, sound insulation, energy conservation, fire prevention and other standards. It is also a non load bearing wall brick.
Characteristics of foam brick
1. Light weight, reduce building load: dry density is 500-1200kg/m3, which is 1/5-1/8 of normal concrete.
2. Excellent thermal insulation, heat insulation and sound insulation functions: its thermal conductivity coefficient is 0.08-0.16w/m.k, and the sound insulation capacity of 24cm wall is 60dB, meeting the requirements of building external walls and household walls for heat insulation and sound insulation.
3. Good compressive function: the compressive strength is more than 3.5Mpa, and the unit weight of 500kg/m3 is more than 4.0mpa, which fully conforms to the national use standard, and the maximum strength can reach more than 10Mpa.
4. Good seismic resistance: because foam bricks are porous materials with low elastic modulus, they have outstanding absorption and relaxation effect on shock loads. At the same time, foam bricks are light in weight, which can effectively reduce the load of buildings. The smaller the load of buildings, the stronger the seismic ability.
5. No cracking, long service life: foam brick will not show cracking and hollowing, the wall is firmly pasted, and the service life of building materials is long.
6. Good waterproof property: the water absorption rate of foam brick is lower than 10%, which is significantly different from other wall materials.
When Sand aerated block When used as main building materials, the radionuclide limit shall comply with the provisions of GB6566-2001 Limits of Radionuclides in Building Materials. When the specific activity of natural radionuclides Ra-226, Th-232 and K-40 in the main building materials meet the requirements of IRa ≤ 1.0 and Ir ≤ 1.0 at the same time, their production, marketing and use are not restricted. The production, marketing and use scope of the main building materials with a hollowness rate of more than 25% are not restricted when the specific activity of natural radionuclides Ra-226, Thor-232 and K-40 simultaneously meet IRa ≤ 1.0 and Ir ≤ 1.3.
