        Aerated concrete block Functional reason

1. The shortening of aerated concrete blocks is large, and the shortening before the age of 28 days is not only large, but also develops rapidly.

2. The monotonous aerated concrete masonry is easy to absorb the moisture in the plastering layer, which will affect the mortar strength and wall adhesion.

3. If the wall is short of water content, the water in the newly plastered mortar layer will be continuously absorbed by the aerated concrete block, which will reduce the strength and cohesion of the mortar, and the plastered layer will become powdery, hollow and flaking.

4. The moisture on the surface of aerated concrete masonry evaporates quickly, which will result in the unsynchronized moisture evaporation of masonry and plastering surface, monotonous shortening and large deformation difference, and shorten the cracking and hollowing of plastering layer.

5. If the surface of the aerated concrete block is fish scale and presents loose particles, which are not cleaned before plastering, it forms an isolation layer between the masonry and the plastering layer, and presents hollowing due to the decrease of cohesion.

6. Under the condition of temperature and humidity change, the monotonic shortening stress difference between aerated concrete blocks leads to hollowing.

7. If the strength of the plastering mortar of aerated concrete block is high, the masonry will be short of mortar to accept the shortening, resulting in hollowing.

8. If there are few mortar joints on the wall surface of aerated concrete blocks, the wall lacks the embedment force to the plastering layer, so it is easy to form a hollow plastering surface.
